To get an "A" in this course you must be prepared to demonstrate, by comments you make in class (in response to questions, and comments you voluntarily add) and words you write in answers to questions on texts and exams, that you are Reading and Viewing print and broadcast media sources - namely newspaper, magazine, TV and online sources: for the purpose of knowing the "Current Issues in e-Business". You should not expect that limiting yourself to the course website will be sufficient for you to satisfy all the Learning Objectives - the very nature of this course topic requires you to "go outside the box !!!!".

  • because of the way the course topics are delivered in a "mixed mode", and the course focus is "current issues in e-business" there is a strong expectation on active articipation in the course as part of the learning process

Participation for a course dealing with current issues is defined as asking and answering useful questions which further  contribute to the subjects discussed in each part.
To this end, it is strongly recommended, that participants  do indeed read the assigned chapters and WWW pages, so that questions may be asked and good exchanges and discussions take place.

Contributions can also be made by identifying resources on the WWW that would be useful to the course.  These contributions can be made in the form of emailing the information to the professor. When making  such submissions, don't simply email the URL, ... go further and describe some reasons why the particular  site/article is relevant.  Class participation / contribution will be calculated on a per incident basis so students should  plan on trying  to have something useful to say, or contribute at least once every second or third class.

see examples of student that have previously made contributions
