El Tigre
One of the few remaining
large pyramids in Mesoamerica which has not had the jungle cut back and
the stones exposed for investigation - quite a bit about this structure
is still unknown in 2002. Supposedly a complex that is larger than the
Great Pyramid at Giza.

OLMECS
OLMEC CIVILIZATION: 1200BC- 600AD Richardson has a fascination with the Olmec civilization because the facial features on the giant heads suggest that the people, after whom the heads were carved, where Africans - which has many ramifications for Ancient African history. Yet this idea is not dealt with by many archeologists at all. |
| some discussion
of Olmec African links
"the Olmec spoke an aspect
of the Manding languages spoken in West Africa, not Mixe- Zoquean as suggested
by Terrence Kaufman. The African origin of the Olmec was based on the research
of C.S. Rafinesque and Leo Wiener."
